TheCave Rescue Country Committee creates Commissions with specialized tasks.
The Commissions are overseen by the Cave Committee and are directed by a coordinator nominated by the Cave Committee, following a proposal by the members of the commission itself. The coordinator is in charge for three years and can be re-elected for no more than three terms.
The caving commission's duties are to make technique updates more accessible to volunteers, to spread knowledge of technical and scientific notions and the testing of new gear and techniques. They also promote prevention programs specific to each commission.
The commission could assume the role of a technical operational unit if requested by a Zone Delegate, to help deal with specific local emergencies. They are also available to the national coordinator in case of national emergencies or for rescue operations abroad.
