The CNSAS , operational division of the Italian Alpine Club , is a n independent  non-partisan , apolitical and non-profit association of volunteers guided by the principles of solidarity and mutual trust among members. Its responsibility is to provide supervision and prevention of accidents in mountaineering activities , hiking and caving , rescue of the injured and unsafe and the recovery of the fallen . It's a national operational division of the National Civil Defense System .
