CNSAS Schools
The National Schools have the duty to train and keep all volunteers up-to-date, while following a nationwide technical standard in all rescue manoeuvres. All volunteers must complete a training process at different levels of instruction, periodic tests and a constant re-certification process.
The cave rescue technicians, all cavers of proven experience and technical abilities, have basic medical first aid knowledge and can offer, thanks to their continuous training and instruction process, their competence and professionalism in the event of a rescue not only in the hostile environment of a cave or a canyon but also in any environment hit by a natural event disaster like an earthquake or flooding.
The National Schools for cave rescue are:
- The National School of Cave Rescue Technicians- The National Schools for Emergency Medicine in high-risk underground environments- The National School of Cave Diving Rescue Technicians- The National School of Canyon Rescue Technicians- The National School for Directors of Rescue Operations
